Painted by William E. Winner (American, 1815-1883). Titled "Millard Fillmore". Signed and dated on verso "W E Winner/artist/'79/Phila". Label on stretcher verso reads "Pennsylvania Com. President Fillmore". Painting has no frame and major wear to back and sides. Back has a piece of foam board attached. Canvas has one hole in the upper left quadrant, as well as some minor rubs. Some paint craquelure. Providence: Raymond E. Holland American Art.
