Features 8-43 dated Inland barrel, Type I narrow band, "S" marked flip rear sight. Internal parts all appear to be correct Inland contract parts. Folding Paratrooper stock is original with proper "IO" on bottom of grip and the circle "P" acceptance mark on right side of grip. Swiveling buttplate has correct casting markings and leather is correct with proper rivets. The Paratrooper carbine has been refinished at some earlier time as the parkerized finish is a more modern black finish and there are signs of polishing on trigger housing and some small parts. The stock has had additional finish applied and is a slighter more reddish finish than normal. Bore and mechanics are excellent. These early Paratrooper carbines have a terrible survival rate, most were rebuilt with miscellaneous mixed parts and or lost in the World War II conflict. This is a scarce D-Day qualified Paratrooper.
