Full octagon barrel with full magazine chambered for the .40-82 Winchester cartridge. Two piece American straight grained walnut stocks with crescent butt plate. Case colored receiver with factory applied blue finish on barrel and magazine. Sporting front sight with elevator adjustable sporting rear sight. Very good condition with good bore with shallow rifling. Factory applied blue finish is thinning with over 50% remaining balance turning mellow patina and is quite attractive. Two piece walnut stocks are very good with out cracks or material loss and most all factory applied varnish remains. Case colors on receiver are quite visible and thinning with vivid colors in more protected areas. This is a fine, honest 1886.
