22 -1/2" closed mouth Tete Jumeau child, stamped in back of head in red "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte S.G.D.G. 10", having a closed, slightly smiling mouth, well painted lashes and multi stroke eyebrows, and pierces earlobes. the most impressive feature of this doll is not only the blue eyes, but th wide eue cuts, giving her a very "owl-like" appearance. She is strung with a coil siring to the original, French, fully jointed wood and composition body with a oval paper label attached to the rear torso reading "Bebe Jumeau". Finish to the body is overall very good, with only some typical light age wear. She wears a dark antique human hair wig over cork pate, and have been nicely re-costumed in a silk and wool plaid dress with lace overlay apron with matching wide collar, old underwear and socks, and very nice but later pale lavender leather shoes with buckles. In addition, she has a black velvet cloche type hat.
