Demi-bloc barrels with solid matted rib, are factory marked, and with importers name on ejector housings. Coin finished over-under double Kersten action with non-automatic safety and single selective trigger is fitted with ornamental sideplates. Action and sideplates are engraved with full coverage very well cut large to medium shaded scroll. Dark and dense nicely marbled and figured European walnut straight grip buttstock with composition Merkel buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching three piece forend has Deeley type release. Gun is housed in high quality brown leather case with stitched leather corners by Emmebi with green velvet, and has brown leather Merkel label in lid. Case contains straps, cleaning equipment, snap caps, and square oil bottle. Excellent, very close to new with only the faintest of handling and assembly marks in all finishes. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent. This model was last imported in 2003 with a suggested retail price at the time of over $12,000. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
