This fine, high quality, mid-size double action pocket revolver is devoid of any maker. Has a patent "6214" on right side. The barrel rib is marked with the retailer "J. MacNaughton. 26 Hanover St. Edinburgh". It features a double spring release, top break, five shot, octagon barrel, blued finish, Nitre blue small screws and parts, and one piece checkered walnut grips and lanyard loop. Revolver exhibits some high edge wear on cylinder and high edges, and you can see the brown patina coming through the English high power blue finish. Hammer and release springs have nearly all of the high polish Nitre blue finish. Grips are near mint. Indexes and locks up like new. Multiple British proof marks. Strong, clean bore. Housed in an English oak case with James MacNaughton dealer label, lined in red velvet, and accompanied by a dozen .380 Rimfire cartridges, oil bottle, wood handle turn screw, cleaning rod and brass jag. Lid of the case is slightly warped. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
