Chopper lump barrels fitted with matted quarter rib which supports claw scope bases and one standing leaf rear sight, and matching front base with silver bead, are marked with retailers name and address on mid rib, and with caliber on unmatted portion of quarter rib. Barrel flats are stamped with 1969 Ferlach nitro proofs. Bottoms of barrels are stamped with steel type (Bohler Antinit) and caliber. Josef Winkler's mark is on bottom of right barrel. A sling loop is screwed to bottom rib. Coin finished scallop-backed boxlock action features automatic safety, crossbolt third fastener, disc set strikers, reinforced frame, and double triggers (front set). Action is engraved with well cut scroll and some geometric borders which surround semi-relief game scenes, suitable quarry for this caliber; running stag on left side, charging wild boar on right. A European elk (moose) is on trigger plate. Top lever and trigger guard are blued and have matching scroll. Relatively plain European walnut slightly hog-backed capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over open sided brown pad, and features right hand shadow line cheekpiece, chin strap transition to grip, which is checkered in point pattern, as well as a sling loop matching that on barrel. Matching beavertail ejector forend with Deeley release, has engine turned iron. Drop at heel: approximately 3-1/4", Drop at comb: approximately 1-13/16", Cast: slightly off, Weight: 7 lbs 12 oz, LOP: 14-1/2". Excellent, essentially as new, appears unfired since proof, with only a few faint handling and assembly marks on wood and metal. Mechanically excellent.
