This special order rifle features full octagon barrel, full magazine, German nickel sporting front sight, Winchester sporting rear sight, case colored frame, hammer and lever; walnut stock and smooth steel shotgun buttplate. CONDITION: Barrel and tube are a smooth homogeneous blue-brown patina. Sharp legends and edges. Dust cover is a blue-brown patina. The special order case colored frame has flashes of color at tang and both side but has basically patterned out to a dull nickel finish; still some bright color on left side of hammer. Traces of blue-brown patina on shotgun butt. Walnut stock is excellent, proud to metal with usual dings and handling marks. Fine action. Bore exhibits razor sharp rifling with dull grooves. Used but well cared for case colored 1873.
