DSP. An outstanding a super rare example of this curb sign from Sweney Motor Oils. Both sides are as close to perfect as its gets. Side one shows phenomenal color and gloss, with an extremely clean field free of any wear. There is one flea bite nick near the "D" of Gold, but is almost unnoticeable. Side two also shows incredible color and gloss, with a field free of any wear and excellent shelving between the colors. There is one porcelain nick in the "M" of Motor. Sign is mounted on an aluminum base with raised, "Property Of The Sweeney Refining Co." lettering. Base and pole have been very nicely repainted. Overall a near impossible to improve upon piece of early gas and oil advertising.
