Enameled 14K gold medal with diamonds, marked in the center GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC / 1861-VETERAN-1866, engraved on the back "Presented to / D. Lloyd Jones / Department Commander / Wisconsin Department / Grand Army Of The Republic / By Members Of His Staff / Eau Claire / Wis / May 20, 1897". A major general's bar with two diamonds, supporting a silver badger draped with gold riband with enamel "Forward", which, in turn, supports a white enameled arrow, 4-3/4" high overall. Original pink silk ribbon with American flag. CONDITION: Excellent with perfect enamels. DG
