Lot consists of (A) Drum Major baldric for the Irish Guards with Royal cypher, Irish guards insignia, and battle honors from Festubert through Anzio. Comes with two drumsticks with brass decorations. Maker marked on interior with leather tab for George Potter and Co. CONDITION: Very good with some evidence of use and one area of staining on rear piping. (B) Two cartridge boxes with British Royal Seal on front and belts decorated with golden thread and red cord running through center. One marked on interior "Lt Lee Massey". Both marked for manufacture by Hobson and Sons on interior of leather belt. CONDITION: Good, stitching is tight and leather is supple. Some light evidence of use. Leather with some scuffs and chipping. (C) Peninsula Waterloo Brass and Steel horse bit. Mouthpiece marked "Stainless Steel" and a partially obliterated mark, possibly for a maker. Bosses with "Peninsula / Waterloo" with a lion over a crown in center. CONDITION: Good. There are a few minor areas of patination and the left side boss has softened considerably in detail. (D) Two cuirass straps for the Household Cavalry. One strap still retains contract information on back. CONDITION: Very good, with some very minor areas of scuffing and age staining. (E) Horse headband made of of brass. Stamped on rear for Firmin & Sons on each tab. Decorated with starbursts that have been riveted in place. A sticker of some kind was removed from one of the tabs at some point. CONDITION: Very good with some minor age staining. and light evidence of use. (F) Plain white leather belt. CONDITION: Very good with some age staining. (G) White leather belt with gold thread and sword hanger strap decorated en suite. CONDITION: Very good with some age staining and light evidence of use. (H) Two shorter straps decorated with gold wire en suite with other decorated items, one measuring 10" to hanger, other is 19". CONDITION: Very good with some light evidence of use. EW
