Lot consists of: Seven US Army M1938 M1 Garand rifle scabbards, marked by the following makers: "US Boyt 42", two marked "Hess & Hopkins Leather Co 1942", two marked "J.Q.M.D. 1942", two marked "Hotze 1942". CONDITION: Very good, six of the straps have been replaced, all show moderate service wear but pliable leather, one of the Hess & Hopkins scabbards has had a 1" X 4-1/2" piece of the leather removed close to the metal sleeve: Thompson Sub Machine gun motorcycle scabbard marked "Milwaukee Saddlery Co 1944". CONDITION: Good, the leather exhibits areas of crazing and dark staining but remains pliable. US Army M1938 M1 Garand rifle scabbard in fair condition, illegible markings, some seams repaired with heavy leather stitching. DG
