Slightly curved blade with wide shallow fuller and narrow partial fuller above, left side of blade ricasso stamped "ROSE". Brass hilt with pierced D-shaped counterguard on right side. Knuckle bow with a single ball. Early brass pillow pommel with capstan. Rectangular grip of fluted ebony. This pattern with marked "ROSE" blade is extremely scarce. CONDITION: Blade retains a grey patina with scattered areas of darker patina, marking is excellent. Hilt retains a mellow mustard patina and grip is very good with an age crack running along the left side. DMG. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of George M. Rapport.
