Comprising: (A) Brass reverse 'P' Hilted Cavalry Saber with partial scabbard. Slightly curved partially blued blade with gilt washed engraved designs on both sides. Brass hilt with languettes and birds head pommel. Leather wrapped grip decorated with strands of brass wire. Complete with part of original leather scabbard with center brass mount. CONDITION: Blade retains 30-40% blued and gilt surfaces with scattered areas of patina. Hilt retains a dark unpolished patina, grip very good with some scuffing and minor losses at pommel. Scabbard missing throat mount and drag, leather shows losses to surface and crazing. (B) Brass reverse 'P' Hilted Artillery Sword. Slightly curved single fuller blade. Brass reverse 'P' hilt with birds head pommel and leather wrapped grip decorated with twisted brass wire. CONDITION: Blade retains a grey mottled patina with some darker areas. Hilt retains a dark and unpolished patina, some slight bending and scattered marks from use. Grip good with some minor losses. DMG. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of George M. Rapport.
