George Falconer & Co., Hong Kong, Chronometer, no. 8433, with 4" diameter silvered brass dial inscribed "George Falconer & Co / Hong Kong. No 8433/ U.S. Army". Roman numerals, up/down wind indicator and seconds dial below, gilt spade hour hands, blued steel seconds and indicator hands, screw-fit glazed bezel, brass gimbal and bowl, chain drive fusee movement in a brass-bound, rosewood box with brass carrying handles, missing its upper tier. Box measures 7-1/4" X 7-1/4" and 6-5/8" high and contained within its felt-lined rosewood outer box. CONDITION: Chronometer is in excellent running condition, and includes winding key.
