Plath Marine Chronometer, Hamburg, no. 9011, with 4". diameter white dial marked "C.Plath Hamburg / 9011 / Wempe / Chronometerwerke / Hamburg / Made in Germany", roman numerals, up/down indicator and seconds dial below, blued steel hands, screw-fit glazed bezel, brass and plastic gimbal and bowl, chain drive fusee movement. In a mahogany box with brass carrying handles and beveled glass top, measuring 7-3/8" square. Front of the box displays a plate marked "Chronometerwerke / Wempe Hamburg / No. 9011. CONDITION: Excellent running condition with winding key. Contained within a felt lined plywood box with leather straps.
