Curved 12" body with conical relief carved spout. Horn is inscribed "I TAYLOR / 1772 / IT HIS HOREN", it is also decorated with folk art designs including and upside down heart, a deer, a stylized eagle, a horse, and a dog, as well as a small house. The horn has a flat wood plug retained by wooden pegs. CONDITION: Horn retains a pleasing, dry, honey patina with some scattered areas of minor insect damage, and a couple minor cracks at base. Plug is missing nail for sling and has some insect damage.
