Lot consists of: (A) Heer infantry EM/NCO visor cap in size "59 1/2", and (B) Heer infantry EM/NCO visor cap in size "57". (A) Infantry visor cap made in a Feldgrau tricot wool with one tiny moth hole, and two tiny spots of tracking on the top, and a dark green wool center band with a one quarter inch spot of tracking near the rear. The white piping is intact with no visible damage. The Heer eagle, wreath, and cockade are aluminum and undamaged. All three appear to be original to the cap. The black vulkanfibre visor presents some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing, with the underside in a medium brown crosshatch pattern. The visor appears to have been reattached, based on the presence of hand sewn stitches above the outside part of the visor. The enlisted chin cord is attached and undamaged. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-brown rayon with no noticeable damage or wear. The sweat shield is present with no maker mark, with the size stamping of "59 1/2" stamped on the lining. The sweat shield is detached from the cap for about 4", with a 1" crack on each separation edge. The dark brown leather sweatband is cracked through in one area in the rear, but is otherwise completely intact, with uniform light wear and staining. CONDITION: Excellent overall. (B) Infantry visor cap made in a Feldgrau tricot wool with approximately one dozen moth holes on the top, another dozen plus around the crown, and the lower edge is moth damaged for approximately 15% of its circumference. A dark green wool center band with approximately 4" of moth tracking on the rear. The white piping is intact with no visible damage. The Heer eagle, wreath, and cockade are aluminum with patina to the cockade. All three appear to be original to the cap. The black vulkanfibre visor presents some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing, with the underside in a medium brown crosshatch pattern. The enlisted chin cord is attached and light damage. The interior is fully lined in a light golden-brown rayon with no visible with light staining to 45-50%. The sweat shield is present with no maker mark and with light scuffing, with the size stamping of "57" stamped on the lining. The dark brown leather sweatband has 1" of damage near the front, with staining throughout. CONDITION: Very good overall. WZ
