Lot consists of: (A) USMC enlisted bell crown visor cap with nickle plated prong-back Eagle Globe and Anchor front insignia and USMC side buttons. The leather sweatband stamped with Horstmann contract information and dated 1906. CONDITION: Very good with wool body in excellent condition, full unbroken leather sweatband stitched tightly to the body. Underside of the visor is faded, stained and missing 1-1/2" of binding. (B) World War I period US Navy officer's visor cap with bullion embroidered insignia. CONDITION: Very good, the black wool body and mohair band are undamaged, leather visor with moderate crazing. Full leather sweatband shows minor wear, sides of the black cotton crown lining are torn. (C) Model 1912 US Army officer's visor cap. CONDITION: Very good, the wool body exhibits a few very small holes, enameled cloth visor with minor crazing. Leather sweatband loose in one 2" area. (D) World War I US Navy enlisted "Donald Duck" cap with "U.S. Naval Training Squadron" band. CONDITION: Very good with lightly soiled interior. (E) U.S. model 1917 combat helmet. CONDITION: Excellent showing minor wear only and displaying full black canvas liner, wool pad and label. (F) US Army Model 1912 campaign hat with five rows of stitching on the rim. CONDITION: Very good with a small split along one row of stitching and missing sweatband.
