This large varied lot contains: (A) Model 1895 Enlisted Visor Cap still housed in its original pasteboard box. Wool body, interior black polished cotton lining and leather sweatband are perfect. Size label 6-3/4. Pasteboard box is solid and complete, the size 6-3/4 is written on both ends. CONDITION: The cap is unused but shows very minor signs of age and a dull finish on the leather. Box shows a break at one end and along the bottom seam. (B) Model 1902 Officer's Visor Cap with direct bullion embroidered New York state seal on the front, New York rimless side buttons and gold chin strap. Interior crown embossed with a Ridabock & Co New York logo. Size marked 7-3/8. Housed in a heavy cardboard box, marked on the lid with "Ridabock & Co New York" logo. CONDITION: Cap shows no signs of wear with a perfect black wool body, bright bullion work, and perfect interior. Box shows wear on the edges and the corners of the lid are broken. (C) Army Air Force Pilot's Navigation Kit, leather with working zipper sides, interior with airspeed, altitude and dead reckoning computers, rulers, small USAAF flashlight, flak location map around Bolzano Italy, bombing run photographs and bombing mission to Hamm Germany summary. CONDITION: Very good. (D) Type E-1 Bombardiers Case, leather trimmed canvas with working zippers, named on the front. CONDITION: Very good showing moderate service wear. (E) 1920'-30's Flyers Leather Helmet, the front displaying a painted pilots wing, attached are a pair of USAAF Type B-1 Luxor goggles. CONDITION: Very good, the flying helmet shows general wear with some small rips in the leather, goggles have clear lenses and soft rubber pads. (F) Note book measuring 9" by 12" with silver cover exhibiting the crest of The Prince Of Wales Leinster Regiment in raised relief, under which is engraved "Presented To The Officers. 2nd Leinster Regt. By Capt. J. C. Colquhoun On Retirement On 5th March 1907". The cover displays silversmith's touchmarks on the lower left, book contains a number of used ink blotters. Included is a portrait photograph of Capt. Colquhoun, signed by him on the lower right of the backing, measuring 5-3/4" by 8". CONDITION: Leather back cover and spine in very good condition with wear to the lower spine. (G) Two competitive drill pendant medals. The first has a suspension bar inscribed “ROYAL R. HEUTER” and stamped “JOHN HARRIOTT BOSTON” on the back. Suspended from chains is an American eagle, crossed drill rifles and “Co. C.” inscribed on a panel. The main pin body hanging below the rifles is a shield with scroll accents and a central laurel wreath. Inscribed around the wreath “1ST PRIZE COMPETITIVE DRILL 2D REGT. FEB. 15, ‘99” and inside the wreath is “UBBA” with marks above and below. 4-1/2” x 1-3/4” approximately. The second is similar with the suspension bar inscribed “CORP. J.L. WEHRLE” in front and “JOHN HARRIOTT 3 WINTER ST. BOSTON” on the back. Suspended from chains are crossed drill rifles and a ribbon with no inscription. The main pin body hanging below the rifles is a shield with scroll accents and a central laurel wreath and ornate insignia. Inscribed around the wreath is “COMPETITIVE DRILL SECOND PRIZE 1898”. 4” X 1-3/4” approximately. Neither medal is gold. CONDITION: Excellent. (H) Included are four US Army officers visor caps with gold bullion trim on their visors. Each with General officer's names embossed on their sweatbands, these names added post-period. CONDITION: Excellent. Also included is a US Army officer's cap showing mothing.
