The German World War II M43 Heer HBT Field Tunic is made of a green dyed Herringbone Twill fabric, which appears to be completely unworn. A few minor thread pulls, or snags, can be observed in random areas. Both Bevo style collar tabs are present and appear to be originally attahed to the tunic. There is an earlier pattern Heer Bevo Eagle attached to the upper right breast area on the tunic, by means of hand stitching. The tunic's breast eagle has definitely been reapplied. An original, but added post war, EK2 ribbon is hand sewn through the second button hole. All six of the tunic's front closure buttons are intact and retain nearly 100% of their original green paint. All four of the pocket closure buttons are present and also retain nearly 100% of their original green paint. Shoulder strap bridles and buttons are present on the tunic's shoulder areas with no damage. The interior of the tunic is partially lined with a rayon, or artificial silk. All belt hook adjustment straps are present and without damage. All four pressed paper buttons, used for the adding of a collar liner, are present and appear untouched. A faint maker mark can be seen on the medical pouch and reads “Weinken & Co”. Further up, faint size stamps can be seen in a faint blue ink. A stamp or some type of writing near the left side adjustment strap has been lined out. CONDITION: Overall excellent to excellent+. D.W.
