Presentation frame and autographed photo from Crown Prince Wilhelm. Kronprinz Wilhelm (1882-1951) was the eldest child of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Kaiserin Augusta Viktoria, and was the royal heir to kaiser Wilhelm II. The photo presents Kronprinz Wilhelm on horseback wearing the uniform of "1. Leib Husaren Regiment Nr.1" in Potsdam. It features the Crown Prince's signature, and is 6" by 8". The silver frame is 9-1/2" x 11" and features the manufacturer's hallmark "Schleissner" on its bottom edge, as well as the silver hallmark (.800). The manufacturer's hallmark is preceded by the half moon and crown, which indicates the frame meets the silver fitness standards mandated in 1885 by Kaiser Wilhelm I. The top of the frame presents the Kronprinz's high-relief, crowned royal cypher, which measures 1-1/4" x 1-1/4". The frames surface presents a nice patina which does not appear to have even been cleaned. The frame's reverse is lined in a high quality purple velvet, and am easel lined in the same velvet allows the frame to be set upon a flat surface. Three silver rotating pegs hold the photo into the frame. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WZ
