World War I uniform group consisting of: (A) Model 1917 combat helmet with 3rd Army insignia painted on the front, missing liner. (B) Wool tunic with 3rd Army patch, discharge chevron and two gold tape overseas chevrons. Collar displays a single "US" collar disk. Tunic shows a few scattered holes. (C) Wool tunic with General Headquarters patch, discharge chevron and two gold bullion overseas chevrons. Interior lined with black cotton. Tunic shows a number of scattered holes. (D) Pair wool trousers showing a few small holes. (E) Pair wool trousers showing a number of small scattered holes. Included are seven original photographs of 3rd Army soldiers, one of which is inscribed "To Grandma from Aaron Squires" and "The Soldiers French Phrase Book". DG
