Lot consists of (A) Unsigned ubu nakago with two mekugi-ana. 35.5cm blade. Iron fuchikashura appear quite ancient. Wood tsuka with piene menuki glued on. Tsukashi tsuba, possibly bushu school. Attractive ribbed red lacquer saya. Iron kozuka with gold bridge scene. Kojiri en suite with fuchiikashira. Iron kurikata en suite with fuchikashira and kojiri. CONDITION: Blade is bright but details of hamon obscured. Appears to be choji midare. Silver plated copper habaki. Blade hada with some shintetsu. (B) 37.5cm blade, a single hi and a suguhai hamon. Suriage nakago with remnants of Bishu Osafune Katsumitsu Saku signature. Three mekugi-ana. Matching chakudo fuchikashira with gold highlights. Shakudo tsuba with a gambowling shishi. Lacquer saya. Shakudo nanako kozuka with indistinct signature, Kani Nobu (?). CONDITION: Blade appears to have had old horimono, now vestigial. Some shintetsu in the shinogi gi. Clean with most details visible. Silver foil habaki. Shishi menuki possibly modern, dark blue tsukamaki, contemporary wrap. Kozuka heavily worn. Saya with damage, appears to have been wrapped with tape. Tsuba in relatively good condition with shakudo and gold highlights. An attractive lot. MZ
