Lot consists of: (A) World War I US Army Trench knife with original scabbard. Triangular shaped blade with three significant lines on each side from being removed from scabbard. Wood gripped with finger grooves and D guard with ten triangular shaped projections sticking out of the front of the D guard. The interior of the D guard is marked "A.C. & Co. USA 1917". Knife is cased with a leather and iron scabbard with very faint markings that read JEWELL 1918. CONDITION: Overall very good. The grip is in good condition and only shows minor scratches and dents. The scabbard also has some dents and scratches but retains the original pistol belt hanger. Blade retains some finish and shows scratches from use and being removed from the scabbard. (B) World War I US Army Trench Knife with original scabbard. Triangular shaped blade with three significant lines on each side from being taken in and out of scabbard. Wood gripped with finger grooves and D guard with seven pyramid shaped projections sticking out of the face of the D guard. Top of the guard is marked "U.S. L.F.&C. 1917" Knife is cased with an iron and leather scabbard that displays the faint markings JEWELL 1918. CONDITION: Overall very good. The grip is in good condition showing only one major dent in the wood on the back side. The scabbard retains its original green paint and the pistol belt hanger. Blade retains some of its original finish and shows scratches from use and being removed from scabbard. JD
