Lot consists of: (A) Wonderful painted WWII USAAF Type B-4 garment bag ID'D to Sergeant Frank J Potenzo of Cumberland, Maine. Potenzo was born in Portland, Maine in 1925 and enlisted in the Army in September of 1943. He trained with B-24 bombers in South Dakota and was assigned to the 90th Bomb Group, 320th Bomb Squadron as a radio operator and gunner. CONDITION: The front of the bag depicts the 5th Air Force patch with a B-24 Liberator flying in front of it. The colors are still vibrant and make this olive drab bag very attractive. There is a small hole punctured right above the nose turret. The other side displays Potenzo's identification in black paint and reads " FT---AY / SGT FRANK J POTENZO / 31398725 / 9". The leather handle is strong and all zippers are functioning. This is an excellent example of wartime artwork. Overall very good. (B) WWII USAAF Type D-2 oxygen bottle with original khaki carry bag. The tank retains its original specification markings that are covered by the carry bag. CONDITION: The tank is in excellent condition and retains almost all of its original yellow paint. The khaki carry bag displays some stains and blemishes but is otherwise in very good condition. All stitching is tight and metal components are clean. Overall very good. JD
