Luftwaffe aircrew gravity knife with a "SMF, SOLINGEN, ROSTFREI" marked blade with clear cross graining visible. There are some scattered marks near the edge of the marked blade side, which appear to be from very light sharpening on part of the blade. Nickel-plated fittings have light scratches throughout, blade release catch functions as it should and is marked "838" and "1". The undamaged spring is also marked "838", is original to the knife, and has not be either repaired or replaced. Wooden grips are correctly pinned with very light damage. Steel lanyard ring is intact, and the spike is properly marked with a "LuftAmt5". CONDITION: Overall excellent plus. WZ
