Very fine example of a Japanese type 100 bayonet complete with scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet exhibits the manufacture marking for Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, which was under the supervision of the Nagoya Arsenal. CONDITION: The blade is excellent and retains almost all of its original arsenal applied dark blue finish. There is a drag line that is visible on either side of the blade from being removed from the scabbard. The wood grips display various dents and scratches. The scabbard is straight and displays no major dents or scratches. There are small areas of older corrosion that are mostly covered by the frog. The leather frog is still pliable and all of the stitching is tight and serviceable. There are creases and folds in the leather with some slight cracking on the belt loop. This is a great example of a scarce bayonet. Overall Excellent. JD
