Lot consists of: (A) Late WWII Japanese Type 30 Arisaka bayonet manufactured by National Denki contained in its original last ditch bamboo scabbard. CONDITION: Blade retains its original arsenal applied blue finish. There is a drag line that spans the length of the blade from being removed from the scabbard. Blade has slight older corrosion on the spine. All components are tight and sturdy. Ricasso retains original National Denki marking. Bamboo scabbard retains all of its original components and is still sturdy despite the crude wartime construction. Overall good. (B) Late WWII Japanese last ditch Type 30 Arisaka bayonet manufactured by Jinsen Arsenal contained in its original last ditch bamboo scabbard. CONDITION: Blade displays a gray patina and various blemishes including pitting and corrosion. The top 8" has been sharpened. Handle shows various marks from use. Bamboo scabbard is missing the throat and the bayonet does not lock securely in the scabbard. The scabbard is constructed of two pieces of bamboo bound with string and has various cracks throughout. Both bayonet and scabbard are very crudely constructed. Overall fair. JD

CORRECTION: Scabbards are made of wood, not bamboo as previously stated.
