(A) German Third Reich 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger. The Carl Eickhorn maker marked nickel plated blade exhibits light runner marks, scattered freckling and scattered remnants of cosmoline. The cross guard and pommel cap are made of aluminum, which remains bright and exhibits light scattered marks. The swastikas retain most of their gold anodizing. The wire bound leather wrapped grip shows light marks in a few areas. The scabbard body is wrapped in a dark blue leather with light marks in areas. The scabbards throat, center band, and drag are made of aluminum which remains bright with scattered light marks throughout. The aluminum hanger chain is intact and features an aluminum belt loop clip which is marked with "OLC" for the Overhoff firm. An original Luftwaffe portepee is tied to the daggers grip and cross guard. CONDITION: EXCELLENT (B) German Third Reich Heer Dagger. The Carl Eickhorn maker marked blade exhibits a light factory cross-graining, which runs the length of the blade. The blade shows scattered remnants of cosmoline, light runner marks, and a few areas where rust had been removed. The cross guard and pommel cap are made of burnished white metal. The orange trylon grip is without damage. The non-magnetic scabbard body has two small dents, but otherwise displays nicely. VERY GOOD to NEAR MINT D.W.
