This early DLV dagger features a steel blade, nickel silver cross guard and pommel, and a blue leather wrapped grip. The scabbard is also constructed of nickel silver fittings and a blue leather wrapped scabbard body. The blade features the maker mark for the firm of "SMF". The blade remains in bright condition with a fine factory cross graining running the length of the blade. Light runner streaks and superficial marks can be seen throughout the blade. The original leather buffer pad is present. The nickel silver guard and pommel cap retain most of their original high quality silver plating. The center of the guard features a black enamel inlayed swastika emblem. The blue leather wrapped grip has light marks throughout and one small tear near the pommel cap. The blue leather wrapped scabbard body exhibits light marks throughout, as well as early nickel fittings which have retained much of their original high quality electroplated silver. The scabbards throat area is marked with the NSFK emblem. An originally attached leather hanger is still present. CONDITION: EXCELLENT D.W.
