Early SA dagger with a "ROMUSO, SOLINGEN" marked blade with moderate runner and scattered marks. The "Rohm" inscription has been added postwar. "ROMUSO" also did not not make Rohm daggers. The entire dagger was covered in lacquer at some point, with approximately 35% present on the grip and fittings. Solid nickel fittings have a uniform moderate age patina, scattered marks, and the cross guard has the SA District marking of "He" (Hesse). Rosewood grip is very good to excellent with four quarter inch dings and scratches. SA emblem and eagle are original to the grip and in excellent condition. Anodized scabbard retains 10-15% of its original brown finish and heavy freckling throughout. Plated nickel steel fittings have a nice age patina throughout, with a couple of dings and a half inch dent near the tip. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. WZ
