The steel blade of this Kriegsmarine dagger is acid etched with the anchor motif. The Weyersburg marked nickel plated blade exhibits a few areas of scattered freckling. The brass guard and pommel cap retain approximately 85% of their original gilding. The wire wrapped, white trylon, grip has developed light nicotine patina, and a small crack on the obverse side. The brass scabbard retains approximately 50% of it's original gilding. A cleaning residue is observed in the lower recesses. A small dent can be seen between the scabbards ring bands.
