This is an earlier version of a Shipman Sanitary Postage Machine, predating the 1930's. With the telltale Art Deco styling, this vending machine dispensed four 1¢ stamps for a nickel and three 3¢ stamps for a dime. Green porcelain base and sheet metal body with die-cut front panel and cast marquee. All original condition showing fading to the paper and light wear from use and age. Working with key. Shipman Manufacturing Co., Los Angeles. Not Pictured in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes.
