This is a very unusual coin operated music box. Made of tin, mounted to a painted tin ashtray and a match box holder on top. There is a cast-iron bird perched on the front, and upon depositing a penny, the music box plays. There is no key found for the front door however the music box is open from the bottom where the coins transfer into the middle of the ash tray. The music box is currently on free play and will play until it unwinds. The piece itself is solid, signs of wear and use, no markings or maker noted.
