Sixth and final painting from Kunstler’s 1994 “Killer Angels” portfolio. Print is artist proof with Roman numeral and Kunstler signature at lower right. Col. Joshua Chamberlain is shown leading his famous bayonet charge down Little Round Top in sunlight filtering through the trees on the afternoon of July 2, 1863. The action was desperate, inspired, and crucial in turning back Confederate efforts to roll up the left of Union line. Good colors. Professionally matted, framed, and ready to hang.
