Lot consists of: (A) Modern photo sleeve album containing USMC and US Navy photos. Content varies from ships, Marines, and Navy sailors from WWI-WWII. CONDITION: Some photos exhibit fading and slight staining, overall good. (B) WWII USMC photo album with "photographs" stamped on the bottom right corner. Content varies from camp life, Japanese prisoners, destruction, and so on. Some photos appear to be taken on Iwo Jima. There are some certificates in the back from the 1990s-2000s named to Frank Barone Jr. who this album may have come from. CONDITION: Album pages are separating. Most photos are crisp, while others display blemishes. Overall good. (C) WWII USMC photo album with green cover and stamped "Scrapbook". This album is perhaps the most interesting of the lot because many of the photos were taken on Iwo Jima and show the beaches, unloading of supplies, Marines in gear, and Mt. Suribachi. There is also a period pencil drawing of a Marine. CONDITION: Album pages are fragile, and the photos are mounted using tape. Photos are crisp some display fading. Overall good. (D) Post WWII USMC photo album with map of Japan on the cover. There is a certificate named to LCPL Robert Walter Jones in the album and this album may have belonged to him. The contents include scenery, Marine antics, ships, and so on. CONDITION: Cover is loose, but album remains sturdy. Overall very good. (E) WWII USMC photo album with brown leather cover. This album only has 6 pages of photos. The contents include, Sailors, Marines, scenery, and so on. CONDITION: Album is well held together. Overall very good. JD
