Very large lot of shooting medals comprised mostly of civilian medals dating from the 1940's to the 1960's. Some are named on the reverse, but most are not. The medals were awarded by the NRA, the USRA and various shooting clubs. Included is a USMC marksman medal group consisting of: Three Division, one national and one interservice medals named on the reverse "GYSGT MERTON L. EWING " and dated between 1967-1972. Three are marked "Sterling". Various shooting medals from Camp Lejeune and Quantico also awarded to Ewing but not named. Also with the lot are two USMC Squad Competition and two prone rifle competition medals. CONDITION: Most are in excellent condition, a few show wear to the ribbons. DG
