(A) SKINNER WARRANTED. Pressed horn straight razor with high relief bust of Washington and Shakespeare on front scale. Back scale shows Preble and Franklin. There is worm damage on both front and back scale. Etched blade. c. late 18th century. (B) SKINNER WARRANTED. Pressed horn straight razor with a high relief bust of Washington and Shakespeare on front scale, back scale has high relief bust of Preble and Franklin. There is worm damage on both front and back scale. Razors (A) and (B) have a hard wood box and sleeve. (C) WADE & BUTCHER. Unusual primitive with scrimshaw of whaling scene on front scale. Back scale is scrimshaw of two harpoons. There is damage on both scales at the tip. c. 1820. Nice example of primitive scrimshaw. (D) CLAUSS FREEMONT O. Horn straight razor with nice pearl and abalone inlays featuring a series of stars and half moons. c. 1850. OVERALL CONDITION: Very good-Excellent. TN
