An Austrian Art Nouveau cold-painted and patinated bronze sculpture, "The Scout" by Carl Kauba. The sculpture depicts a Native American scout perched on the side of a cliff with rifle in hand. The sculpture is finished in its original bronze patina and further poly-chromed throughout. The sculpture is signed on the base "C. Kauba". C. 1900. Bronze is in excellent condition, free of any breaks, dents or repairs. The patina is very well preserved with no appreciable loss.
