A beautiful turtleback torchiere by Tiffany Studios. The 12” diameter shade features a band of wonderful iridescent yellow turtleback tiles. There is an additional, round turtleback at the point of the shade. The turtlebacks are laid against a background of highly mottled yellow and cream glass. The shade is in excellent condition with no missing pieces or compound breaks. Three of the turtlebacks have extremely fine and stable hairline cracks. Additionally a handful of the mosaic tiles have tight hairlines, as is expected in a leaded shade of this age. The shade is set in a beautiful, bronzed, torchiere floor lamp made by Tiffany Studios. The base is comprised of three thin bronze tubes that are braided together. The base stands 67” tall and is in excellent condition, free of any cracks, dents, or deformities to the bronze. The base is finished in a reddish brown patina with verdigris highlights. The underside of the base is signed "Tiffany Studios 26393".
