Wartime Commercial Mauser C96 Broomhandle semi automatic pistol. Made circa 1915-17. Standard Oberndorf address on the chamber and right side of the frame. "(crown)/N" proof on the left side of the chamber and bolt. Imperial military proof on the right side of the chamber. No import mark found. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and rear tangent adjustable to 1,000 meters. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Back strap remains slotted for a shoulder stock. Lanyard stud and ring present as well. 31 line oil finished walnut grips are numbered, but not matching. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its original finish with general wear. Fire blue still visible on the trigger, extractor and safety. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
