Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1892. Blued 26" octagon Winchester 2 line address marked rifled barrel in 40-82 W.C.F. caliber, fitted with sheared blade front sight and buckhorn rear sight. Case hardened plain trigger solid frame action with blued full magazine tube. Winchester walnut standard grade straight stock with steel crescent buttplate. Matching standard walnut forearm with case hardened nosecap. CONDITION: 80% original barrel finish turning a plum brown color with action faded to a silvery gray patina with marks from a wet cloth or something making a net pattern on action. Wood has dry oil soaked appearance with usage marks and dings. Dark pitted bore with visible rifling and good mechanics. DLM
