Impressive Theodore Roosevelt bas relief bronze plaque by James Earle Fraser. This work was produced by the Decorative Arts League of New York in a limited casting. Cast in solid bronze, marked "Fraser - 19*20" in upper-right corner. This example has lovely brown bronze patina with great attention to detail. Large profile portrait of President Theodore Roosevelt in high-relief, as a Commemorative Memorial display plaque following Teddy's death in 1919. Below the portrait is an inscription, reading: "Aggressive Fighting for the Right is the Noblest Sport the World Affords". This 12 - 3/4" x 10" bronze plaque is in excellent condition with very minor patina oxidation.
