A truly stunning leaded glass table lamp by Wilkinson. This 23” leaded glass shade is one of the finest ever produced by Wilkinson. The shade features a soft white background with peonies in highly streaked reds and pinks. The complex glass has purple accents as well. The green leaves are composed of granite backed glass, which creates an incredible shimmering effect. The shade is further decorated at both the aperture and lower border, with some of the most beautiful art glass one will find on a leaded glass shade. The glass is a highly rippled translucent glass in blues streaked with green mimicking the sky near the aperture, and water by the lower border. Shade in excellent condition, with perhaps three or four barely perceptible heat cracks. Some loss to the patina on the leading. The shade sits on the most impressive and detailed base ever produced by Wilkinson. The monumental bronze 31” tall tree base features tangled roots at the pedestal, and detailed vines and leaves winding around the thick tree trunk. The base retains its three original sockets and acorn pulls. Finished in a brown patina with gorgeous verdigris accents. Retains Wilkinson locking cap. In excellent condition, free of cracks or dents. The shade and base create one of the most impressive packages one will comes across, truly one of the finest examples.
