An exquisite gilt framed English school original oil on board painting by renowned artist Henry Earp Sr. (British, 1831 - 1914). Depicting a small countryside scene with cattle standing by a tree and a lovely village church on the background. Signed and dated in lower-right corner "H Earp Sr 1890". Painting itself is in very good vintage condition, colors are still bright and canvas board clean with very minor age-related wear. Frame showing age related mold cracking in all four corners an the rim, some scratches and paint loss, but nothing serious to distract from its original beauty.
