London 1866, Samuel Smily/ The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Alliance, oval with a gadrooned border and with light engraving of ferns around two reserves, one engraved with the crest and motto of Clan Chisholm, the domed lid with similar decoration and the same crest. Thinness to side of tureen with crest, otherwise very good. Length across handles: 16 - 7/8”. Approx. weight: 96 oz t.
