Approximatly 8000 carbines were manufactured from 1862 to 1865. Round barrel retains its original inspector marked leather wrap with blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight. Walnut butt stock with brass butt plate. These carbines are believed to seen heavy use with the Navy during the Civil War. CONDITION: NRA Very Good. BAS
