Jakob Plessner (German, 1871-1942) bronze sculpture with black-brown patina, titled "Misanthrope", c. 1910. Depicting a slightly bent, grumpy-looking figure with a pointed cap on his head, the right arm pointing forward with a raised thumb, mounted on rectangular marble base. Signed on the back edge of the base "J. Plessner / V. d. B.". Good condition with wear commensurate with age, with imperfections and wear to the marble base.
Condition: (Good).
