Manufactured in 1926. Shipped on May 28, 1926 to H&D Folsom NYC as a blued 44 caliber. Now features full nickel finish in .38 caliber. Has the COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL left side barrel legend with the Colt Hartford barrel legend on right side which is believed to be circa 1951. The bevel edged cylinder has the removeable bushing. The hammer has later type knurling. Inside both sides of grip strap is matching serial number. There is a Colt rebuild refinish star on trigger bow. The grips are faux stag and need replacing. CONDITION: Fine. Retains overall about 85% nickel finish. The cylinder has numerous striations along with scattered age freckles and finish rubs. The action indexes and locks properly. The bore is sharp. An interesting Colt factory rebuild and refinish. From the Robert C. Renneberg Collection
